YouTube is emerging as the biggest paid music subscription service in Asian countries, especially in India. According to a report from Bloomberg, YouTube has more than 800,000 paying subscribers in India.
The subscribers are on both platforms, YouTube Music Premium and YouTube Premium tires. The subscription for YouTube services is increasing with a high rate in India and is making this country the largest music subscriber holder in the world.
YouTube had launched both the paid tires in March last year in India which contributed to the rapid increase in the number of subscribers within a few months. There are 265 million active users of YouTube in the country. And almost every one of them is generating free organic YouTube subscribers likes and views.
YouTube had started to charge 99 rupees a month for YouTube Music Premium and 129 rupees a month for YouTube Premium from YouTube users in the country. This is a much lesser amount from other music platforms such as Spotify Premium, Apple Music and others.
It is also offering daily, weekly, monthly and annual subscriptions with a lot of discounts for its music tires. YouTube has managed to grab 40% of Indian labels’ digital revenues and it is giving tough competition to the audio music service providers.
People across the world are relying on different services of YouTube such as visual presentation, YouTube Tv, gaming and others. The platform is also providing opportunities for earning money through visual presentations of different niche.
