Luke Bakhuizen Raises Awareness about Plastic Pollution, Partners with Corona and Parley

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – Luke Bakhuizen, one of the renowned social media influencers and digital content creator, has started working on raising awareness about plastic pollution. In this journey, Luke has partnered with the 2 companies, Parley for the Oceans and Corona Extra Australia.

The whole agenda took place on 31st March, when Luke Bakhuizen attended a beach cleanup mission at Cronulla Beach in Sydney, that was hosted by the 2 companies. He shared in an interview, “When we arrived at the beach, it looked spotless but after only an hour we managed to collect 122kg of plastic. During this beach cleanup mission, they warned us about the severity of plastic in our ocean. According to what they told us, unless we act now and start aggressively cleaning our oceans, by 2050 there will be more plastic in the sea than fish. That’s so disheartening.”

Further to this, Luke offered several tips to the people on how they can reduce the consumption of plastic and save this planet and oceans. Some of the tips include:

  • Recycle the plastic
  • Join beach cleanup missions
  • Support the organizations that aim the plastic pollution
  • Use re-usable cups, water bottles, etc.
  • Spread awareness to others as well and how they can help

Luke Bakhuizen also shared, “We need to protect Earth’s oceans. There are actions we all can take that will help our environment and planet. I encourage everyone to become aware of the pollution currently affecting our oceans and to take the steps to join the movement and reduce your own waste.”

The alliance of 2 companies,  Corona x Parley, will continue to host beach cleanup missions all around Australia, Maldives, Chile, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Italy. Join the drive and protect the oceans.
